Happy New Year!

We shop owners are excited about jumping into 2018 and are working hard on our plans for The Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop!

In case you have not heard, the dates for 2018 are:

3/22-3/25/2018

The shops are open from 9:30 am-6 pm on Thursday-Saturday and 1-5p on Sunday or their regular hours if they are open earlier or later.

We will be having fun with "Oceans of Notions" this year.

Do you have a favorite notion? We'd love to hear about it. Share your favorite and what you think is so wonderful about it, please!

Shop Hop 2017

Shop hop has begun and we are going into our third day. We have not posted in a very long time and thought a post would be good.

How about the beautiful weather for shop hop this year? We have not had any torrential rain yet like most years. It is due to come in tomorrow so get out there today and visit those shops you have not made it to yet.

Do you follow us on Facebook? That is where we post thing more often now so you should pop over and "like" our page to follow what is going on with The Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop.

If you did not see it on our Facebook page, we posted some pictures of a few of the great gifts we will be giving to the folks whose passports get pulled from the bucket of finished passports turned in. We've included a few photos below.

Getting Ready or Shop Hop

We're getting ready for the big "Sweet 16" celebration here at Little Quilts!  Can you believe the Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop is celebrating it's 16th anniversary?  Each shop will be featuring charms that will be free with a $10 purchase, or $3 each. Little Quilts will have the cutest lucky clovers...

Bracelets and spacer beads will also be available.

You will have a whole week with two Saturdays to visit all the shops this year.  Be sure to mark your calendars for the Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop as we celebrate "Sweet Sixteen", March 7 - 14, 2015, 10am - 6pm daily, 1pm - 5pm Sunday.

2015 Shop Hop

Make your calendars! The dates for the 2015 Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop will be March 7-14, 2015. Yippee!!

March 15 is Worldwide Quilting Day!  Can you think of a better way to celebrate than by hopping to all the metro quilt shops for the 15th annual Quilt Shop Hop?  Forget about dusting, vacuuming, grocery shopping, and feeding the family - it's your day to celebrate!  At Little Quilts the shop is ready, the decorations are up, the gift bags are out, and the staff can't wait for you to get here - we've got a big celebration planned!  While you're here, buy a Shop Hop Charm Holder to display all the charms from the shops you visit.  Charms will be $3 each or FREE with a $10 purchase.

Busy, busy bees!

I keep hearing from all the shop owners that they are busy, busy, getting ready for the Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop which begins in just two weeks on 3/15 and lasts a whole week this year through 3/22/2014.
Are you all getting excited?
If you have not seen a flyer yet, Sweet Home Quilt Co, closed this year and will not be a part of the shop hop, so don't head out to Conyers for your starting point. If you live on the East side of town, you might start at Patrick's in Covington, or down at A Scarlet Thread and then see Quilts and Fixins, Patrick's and Intown Quilters and Georgia Sewing and Quilting on the same day. Then hit all the other shops on another day. Of course with a full week and three weekend days this year, you could split the shops up into more than two days and stay to play a little longer in each shop.
This year Intown Quilters is having a little scavenger hunt for you all, so make sure to allow a little extra time at IQ so you can enjoy the hunt and not feel pressed for time.

Getting Ready for Shop Hop

We're busy getting ready for the Shop Hop, March 15 - 22.  Here at Little Quilts we're celebrating American and especially the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner.  All finished and waiting for our Shop Hop friends are these cute Americana fabrics packaged in a reusable ceramic baking pan - it even includes a recipe for Star Spangled Cookies! 

Cottontail Quilts has been busy working on three beautiful samples to showcase the Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop fabric. We hope to have these displayed soon! Be sure to order your fabric before the shop hop to be guaranteed to get what you want! 

Our commemorative Charms and Charm Holders are selling fast. You will want to be sure to pick these up prior to the Shop Hop too.  They are so cute!

Beautiful Shop Hop Fabric

Good morning! Cottontail Quilts has been busy getting ready for the Shop Hop. The three Shop Hop batik fabrics available during the Hop are absolutely beautiful!! You can stop in and pre-order your fabric to be assured you will get it before it sells out. All pre-orders can be picked up on the first day of the shop hop (or after). We are busy working on samples to put up throughout the shop so you can get some ideas on what you want to make with the fabric.  We hope to see you soon!

The new limited edition Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop pin charm holder is now available at all the participating shops, $15.  Also shown is the 2014 Shop Hop charm, $5.50.

We are busy planning!

The shops participating in the Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop hop in 2014 are busy planning some fun things. This is the 15th year of The Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop hop and to mark the occasion, this year shop hop will be a full week, 3/15-3/22/2014. Wow! We will all be celebrating with a party in our stores and quite a few more fabulous prizes possibilities in store for those who finish the hop and turn in a full passport.
We are very sorry to see Sweet Home Quilt Co leaving us this year! We wish Melisa Morrison the best!
We also welcome Cottontail Quilts to the group of shops for 2014.
Get ready, set, March is not far off! Get your plans in motions and start saving some funds for that week. It is a busy month of quilting events and we need you to support your local shops to help insure our longevity and the longevity of our shop hop.

2013 Shop Hop Prize Winners

Congratulations to the top prize winners from the 2013 Shop Hop!

The Grand Prize Winner was Nancy Best of Kansas, OK! Nancy won a $100 gift certificate to each of the ten participating shops, a $1000 value.

The 2nd Prize Winner was Janet Zumwalt of Gainesville, GA!

Janet won an Ergonomic Chair, a $400 value.

The 3rd Prize Winner was Kathryn Granfield of Oxford, GA!

Kathryn won a Tutto Bag, a $200 value.

If you didn't have the opportunity to participate in the 2013 Shop Hop or maybe you weren't able to visit every shop, we wanted to share each shop's project with everyone. If you recall my earlier post about the new strip program we introduced this year (read it here if you missed it), each of the shop's combined the strip sets from all ten shops into their individual projects. I'm really glad I don't have to pick a favorite (although I might be a little biased!) because each one turned out beautifully!
