In keeping with this year's Day at the Fair Shop Hop theme, we decided to invite our customers to submit their best new sewing and quilting items for a mini Needlework Competition. It's been such fun to see the projects come together and then returned for display at the store.
Here are a few sneak peaks at some of the fabrics that were chosen by folks participating in the competition. I wonder if you can guess some of the things being made with these fabrics? Tell us your favorite grouping shown here and what you like about that particular grouping of fabrics. We will then pick a winner from the comments section using random.org. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Intown Quilters or if you are an out-of-towner, we will mail you three fat quarters of our choice.
Our own Mary Carlock has worked hard to make decorative "ribbons" for displaying on the first, second and third place "winners" using the Kanzashi Flower Badge pattern
by Julie Creuse along with our favorite Kanzashi Flower Petal templates from Clover (Everyone loves these so much -- we have a hard time keeping them in stock!). We plan on wearing name tags made from this great pattern, too.
We hope you'll find lots of inspiration as you tour Intown Quilters and all the other shops, during Shop Hop!

I love them all but if I had to pick a favorite it would be.....group 1...no group 5. Love the colors in both.
Looking forward to the Shop Hop.
I like group #2... the solids/blenders. I can see them paired with black to make a striking quilt The colors are just stunning.
I love seashells!
So I chose that bundle. (First one)
If I must choose one, it will be group #2. I have been thinking of a bright, happy quilt and this group would be just the right colors for me to use.
i like grouping #3. I'm not sure why but i've never ever liked purple. Then i had 3 daughters in 3 years. And they're obsessed with Rapunzel of Tangled fame--and she wears purple. And now i like it by default. Hence my choice :) thank you so much for the giveaway!
I like #3 and think it would make a great Amy Butler bag. So would the sea shells, #1.
I'll take one of each please. If you make me pick, I'll choose #3. What is there not to like?!?!?
I like group number #2 because of the bright colors.
